Zachary Levi Has Been Cast As Shazam.

 Three days ago Deadline reported that Zachary Levi has been cast as Shazam in the upcoming DC movie. David F. Sanberg (director of Lights Out and Annabelle: Creation) will direct this solo Shazam film with Zachary Levi to lead, apparently he is well known as the title character for NBC's Chuck. I personally don't know who he is which is actually a good thing in my opinion because we need to see how great this character is. I know Shazam from Kingdom Come and in that amazing comic, Shazam is a force to be reckoned with. Apparently Zachary Levi is a great comedic actor which is good because Sandberg said this Shazam movie will be light-hearted and a lot f fun.

So back to Kingdom Come for a quick second, that comic does such a great job presenting Shazam as the only big threat against superman, but also the true hero he is so I highly recommend reading Kingdom Come. So since Zachary Levi isn't well known, is that something to be worried about? I don't think so because it's a character worthy to get to know without having a big celebrity potentially distracting from that. Zachary Levi posted how honored and grateful he is to be cast as Shazam, and then jokingly said how he now has to spend the rest of his life in the gym. I've seen people complain about his physique compared to The Rock who is cast as Black Adam, but he has plenty of time to get in tip top shape. It will be interesting if perhaps Zachary Levi will just play Shazam, or will the movie take place with Billy Batson much later in his life as an adult and has to call back to the power of Shazam.

The Shazam movie will come after Aquaman but I don't think Warner Bros. has set a date yet. It will also be interesting what David F. Sandberg does with this movie since his only past two movies have been in the horror genre. Shazam can be a potential top hero for DC because he is such a force, he can be at the same level as Superman. I hope to see that the go the traditional way with Shazam and him getting his power for Merlin the ancient wizard. As always thank you for taking time out of your day to read this topic I discussed.

Justice League First Reactions Hit Twitter. So yesterday evening, few critics were allowed to share their quick reactions to Justice League on Twitter. I won't go thoroughly through each one, but the overall feel we get from the tweets. So overall, all tweets are luke warm to positive, the two common negatives that are addressed by most reactions is a thin story and weak villian. Then of course some of the positives are each member of the team, their dynamic together, and the lighter tone. Then, each critic says either this is a big or small step in the right direction which is positive in my opinion. Whether or not the step is huge or small, the fact is so far the movie isn't divisive at all. They got the most important thing to do in a superhero movie done and that's make the characters intriguing. My Thoughts On The Defenders

My Thoughts On The Defenders Season 1. So today I finished up watching The Defenders and sad to say, I thought it was just decent. Don't get me wrong, it's still better than the second half of "Luke Cage" and definitely better than "Iron Fist", but even with only eight episodes, it dragged on sometimes. They have four characters with so much backstory and potential but I feel like they touched on the same subjects so many times without adding something new. The first episode was good because it gives the viewer an understanding of each character, their motives, and how they view the world. Then, for some reason, we get a lot of dialogue about the same motives and throughout the first couple of episodes, they interweave all the side characters. Another thing that kind of bothered me was the action, not that it wasn't good but that it was most of the time dark.
