New Mutants Trailer

Horror Heavy New Mutants Trailer.

 Today Fox Entertainment released their first trailer for the upcoming New Mutants movie. I did have some knowledge that Fox was going for a more horror feel for New Mutants but I just thought it would be here and there in the film. When you watch the new trailer however, it is a full on horror movie with very creepy imagery. Now, the trailer doesn't really give you a Stranger Things vibe, nor an It type of feel to it, but something of its own making. Perhaps it has more of an American Horror Story vibe to it, I myself am not a huge horror fan but when I see an interesting story, I'm in.

Now, we don't get much of a story in this trailer, but it lays the foundation for the next few trailers to build off of. If it wasn't for the mention of mutants in the beginning of the trailer, most people would've thought this was just another horror movie. Some people may not have even picked that part up, but from my understanding, this story will be about these young mutants who have to deal with their powers psychologically. I'm not sure exactly if they are being held against their will in this asylum, or if they were put there to protect themselves, but you can see the asylum seems to be messing with them. For each horrorific frame you see, it has to do with that characters power so perhaps it's all in their mind.

Anya Taylor Joy and Maisie Williams are the standouts for me because Anya Taylor Joy was the main girl from Split. Maisie Williams is one of the characters in Game Of Thrones which gets me excited to see both get this next opportunity to shine in a movie franchise. As for Fox seeming to go with a Horror theme for New Mutants, it's a good idea because some day, we will start to get superhero fatigue, unless studios like Fox, add something new to the fold. If we keep getting different superhero or comic book movies that have different sub-genres, it will not cause movie fans to have fatigue. Justice League First Reactions Hit Twitter. So yesterday evening, few critics were allowed to share their quick reactions to Justice League on Twitter. I won't go thoroughly through each one, but the overall feel we get from the tweets. So overall, all tweets are luke warm to positive, the two common negatives that are addressed by most reactions is a thin story and weak villian. Then of course some of the positives are each member of the team, their dynamic together, and the lighter tone. Then, each critic says either this is a big or small step in the right direction which is positive in my opinion. Whether or not the step is huge or small, the fact is so far the movie isn't divisive at all. They got the most important thing to do in a superhero movie done and that's make the characters intriguing. My Thoughts On The Defenders

My Thoughts On The Defenders Season 1. So today I finished up watching The Defenders and sad to say, I thought it was just decent. Don't get me wrong, it's still better than the second half of "Luke Cage" and definitely better than "Iron Fist", but even with only eight episodes, it dragged on sometimes. They have four characters with so much backstory and potential but I feel like they touched on the same subjects so many times without adding something new. The first episode was good because it gives the viewer an understanding of each character, their motives, and how they view the world. Then, for some reason, we get a lot of dialogue about the same motives and throughout the first couple of episodes, they interweave all the side characters. Another thing that kind of bothered me was the action, not that it wasn't good but that it was most of the time dark.
