Maze Runner Death Cure Trailer

My Thoughts On The New Maze Runner Death Cure Trailer.

Over the weekend we got a new trailer for the last installment of the Maze Runner series, and, it looks decent. Look, I haven't been a big fan of the last two Maze Runner movies but I do cheer for Dylan O'Brien because I remember I first saw him in Teen Wolf as the comedic relief. Then in season three he took on the role of a bad guy in the show and that's when I really saw what he can bring to the table in terms of acting. So whenever he is in any movie like Deepwater Horizon, American Assassin, or in this case, Maze Runner, I always root him on because he's a very good actor. From the looks of this first trailer for Death Cure, he seems to bring his A-game even though this franchise is all but forgotten by the general movie audience.

The reason there is such a gap between The Scortch Trials and this last movie Death Cure, is because Dylan O'Brien suffered serious injuries trying to do his own stunts. Therefore they had to wait for him to rehabilitate in order to complete the movie, which now leads me to the problems of Death Cure. My problems aren't with the trailer itself but the book it is based on, I've read all three of the Maze Runner books and the last one left me in sheer disappointment. Basically for those of you who are aware that the whole story revolves around the children being used to find a cure, in the end it does not matter. There is no sort of solution at the end of Death Cure and you pretty much wonder why you bothered reading up to that point.

So therefore, things I see in the trailer are similar to the book but I like that I see a somewhat different approach to the final film. It doesn't look like they will go by the end of the last book which I hope is good news because there is potential for a better ending. You have a group of young actors who really are trying their best in each scene they are in so come up with a more interesting ending. Or perhaps give an interesting ending but make it intriguing enough for maybe more movies in the franchise. All in all I like what I see from the new Death Cure trailer but I'm worried that they will have the same disappointing ending that the book had. As always thank you for taking time out of your day to read this blog and please comment and share if you liked this topic I discussed.
