JJ Abrams Will Write And Direct Star Wars Episode. 9

JJ Abrams Is Confirmed To Write And Direct Star Wars Episode IX.

Today Disney and Lucasfilm themselves came out to and made a statement saying that JJ Abrams Will be writing and directing the last movie in the new Star Wars trilogy. He'll actually be co-writing Star Wars Episode 9 with Chirs Terrio, who's recent writing project was Batman v. Superman. Apparently a lot of people went on rants today about the big news saying the choice was too safe. Too safe? Since when has making a Star Wars movie or anything within that property been a safe move after the original trilogy? I'm not gonna go on a rant here but I just want to make a point that making any movie within a big franchise is by no means safe, the reason why some movies become big properties is because they brought something new to the table.

JJ Abrams in my opinion is a great director with some of his most recent projects being Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, or even Mission Impossible 3. In my opinion, Abrams is someone who isn't afraid to explore new things but he succeeds very highly within movie fans. What I mean is that he reminds me of Zack Snyder a bit, not necessarily on how they direct, but what they choose to put in their movies. Abrams brought back Star Wars to the big screen with a bang, he gave fans things they haven't seen since the original trilogy, such as the big 3 of the originals. He gave fans happy memories by showing us an awesome lightsaber battle, the millennium falcon, and even a great open ending with the last Jedi known in the universe, Like Skywalker.

What I want to emphasize is that he gave us and regular movie fans, exactly what we needed, a new but familiar introduction to Star Wars. Like I said, WHAT WE NEEDED, now with him confirmed to direct Episode 9, he will give us a conclusion that all diehard fans need, but what regular audiences want. Abrams knows how to play his card and he's a master at keeping thing out of the loop, so if he stays on for the last episode in the new trilogy, we won't know what we're in for. It's ok to be a little worried because they literally just got rid of the director who was attached to the last episode for quite a while. All I'm saying is that Lucasfilm and Disney knows how this business works, and also, this property is their baby and they won't mess up. As always thank you for taking time out of your day to read this blog and please comment and share if you liked this topic I discussed.
