Gavin O'Connor Is In Talks To Direct Suicide Squad 2.

 Today Variety reported that Gavin O'Connor signed on to write the script for Suicide Squad 2. Variety also reported that O'Connor may direct the film as well since he has worked with Warner Bros. For The Accountant. O'Connors last two films were The Accountant and Warrior, both in my opinion were great movies so without doubt, I'd like to see him direct this new movie. Though I must state once again, he is only signed on to write the script for Suicide Squad 2, so all this talk about him directing is just speculation. Warner Bros. also confirmed that David Ayer is without doubt, not coming back in any way to Suicide Squad 2.

There have been many big names attached to Suicide Squad 2, one that I really like was Mel Gibson was rumored to direct. I think Gibson would've been the perfect choice to direct this movie because the film needs someone who can't get bullied into putting things he doesn't want in the film. He would make the film he wants to, also, he stated that he would've made the movie rated-R because he felt like it may need it. Don't get me wrong, Gavin O'Connor would be a great choice but I've loved all of Gibson's films so I think he would've gotten more attention to Suicide Squad 2. Though it's still not confirmed by Warner Bros. who they want to direct Suicide Squad 2 so there is always the possibility that it will be Mel Gibson.

Either way, Warner Bros. needs to get the ball rolling on this movie because the stars of the films have other projects to work on. The next film on DC's slate is Shazam, directed by David F. Sandberg, so I'm not sure exactly when they will release Suicide Squad 2. To be honest, I'm not that excited for a Suicide Squad 2, I liked all the characters in the first film but I didn't like the movie they were in. Perhaps with O'Connor already beginning on the script, it will make for a better overall film and story. Justice League First Reactions Hit Twitter. So yesterday evening, few critics were allowed to share their quick reactions to Justice League on Twitter. I won't go thoroughly through each one, but the overall feel we get from the tweets. So overall, all tweets are luke warm to positive, the two common negatives that are addressed by most reactions is a thin story and weak villian. Then of course some of the positives are each member of the team, their dynamic together, and the lighter tone. Then, each critic says either this is a big or small step in the right direction which is positive in my opinion. Confirmed Early Critic Screenings For Justice League. So today there have been many critics posting pictures of the Justice League screening they have gotten, but they said they can't say a word about it. The embargo is still in place for the day before the premiere of the movie. So where exactly do we stand with this movie? Well it is hard to say, the movie is still two weeks out so are they evaluating what the critics think of the movie?
