Critics Tweet About Blade Runner 2049

Critics Are Allowed To Tweet Their Quick Thoughts On Blade Runner 2049.

So today Warner Bros allowed several movie critics to tweet out their quick thoughts after seeing a screening for Blade Runner 2049. Now, the embargo for the film is still up so we will see no reviews until some time next week, but the hype is already starting. Each critic pretty much praised the cinematography of Roger Deacon saying that every shot has a meaning and tone that is just told by visuals. Then, other critics are saying that the story is very amazing, perhaps even answering questions but also asking new ones. All in all the reactions to the first critic screening are overwhelmingly positive with very little to no negatives.

This movie is perhaps my second most anticipated film of the year just under Justice League and for a long time I was nervous for this film. Now of course I myself have not watched the new movie but most of the critics, I know their body of work and I'm confident in what they say. Another thing said that I do love is when the cast was asked about whether Deckard is a replicant or not, it's not a simple answer. Each actor or actress say it much more complicated and deeper than just that simple label, they say the movie asks the audience, what exactly is human? What properties make someone human, and these questions are music to my ears because I love those deep discussions.

I mean I don't believe I'm the smartest guy in the world but I think I'm smart enough to appreciate those kinds of discussions. Especially when they are well executed on film and not as cut and dry as most movies out there like to convey. The movie comes out October 6th and I'm just utterly giddy now since I have confirmation that it isn't even close to being a bad film or a step down from the original. You can bet I will be there opening night, ready to watch multiple times hoping like the original, I get something new out of it every time I watch. As always thank you for taking time out of your day to read this topic I discussed.
